I incorrectly stated in my last post that the metro line between North Shields and Tynemouth was still undergoing re-construction. Please ignore this! The metro line is now running smoothly again between North Shields and Tynemouth station in both directions. The North Shields station is in some disarray with platform 1 closed for a huge facelift, but this does not affect the link and and trains are as normal.
